Don’t worry—healing is pretty straightforward with lip blush, but understanding what to expect can make all the difference in how your results turn out. Let’s break down the phases of healing and how to keep your lips looking their best.

For the first couple days, your lips may feel a little swollen and appear brighter and bolder than expected. This is normal! The color will soften as they heal, fading into a more natural shade over the next few weeks. You might experience mild dryness or even light peeling during the first week, typically on days three and four, as your lips settle into their new hue. Avoid picking at any flakes, as it can interfere with the pigment and lead to uneven spots. Skipping makeup on and around your lips is also a good idea for the first week. You’ll basically just be treating your lips like an open wound during that time. Once healed, be sure to always wear SPF on your lips when outdoors to keep the pigment from fading prematurely- and keep them moisturized!
